Hi, I'm Isabel

There is no easy cure for a quarter-life crisis. Some things we have to go through, so when we get to the other side we land exactly where we belong.
In this week’s episode, Founder of Clever-ish Magazine Jiji Ugboma and I discuss how you can take an existential crisis and turn it into the best thing that has ever happened to you. There is never any growth without growing pains.
After feeling pressure from a mentor Jiji applied and was accepted to what should have been a huge step in her career- a PhD program in Spain. The only problem was that it wasn’t Jiji’s dream, so she did what any spirling millennial would have done and quit the program, moved to France, and didn’t tell her family. If this sounds glamorous- it wasn’t, but it led to Jiji finding her truest self.
In today’s episode we covered:
The importance of having a 5 year plan.
Asking yourself what you can give to the world and then deciding what your next career move should be.
It takes a long time before a passion project becomes financially lucrative. People who claim they started making big money right away are often misleading you.
Listen to your gut, be bold, and follow your dreams.
How to set yourself up for success and not be financially stressed while pursuing your dreams.
What is a quarter-life crisis?
